About
Overview
Jay Srage comes from the technology industry and is a University of Michigan Alum. He is very well recognized in the telecom industry. Srage has been dubbed “Transformer” by Forbes in their special cover issue on Digital Transformation. He has also been named in the Top 50 best executives in the MENA region for 3 consecutive years with global experience expanding across the US, Europe and emerging markets in Southeast Asia, East Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Srage is currently the lead of operations for the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in Europe and the Middle East and an adjunct lecturer on topics of leadership in the Digital Era for custom executive education programs. He has delivered programs to executives in the government, telecom and banking industries.
Prior to his role at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, Srage launched Qualcomm operations in MEA in 2008 from the ground up and expanded to SEA and East Europe to become one of the regional top influencers across emerging markets. He has consulted companies and government agencies in the US, UK and the GCC countries, trained and advised CxOs based on a 2-dimensional framework that leverages his commercial skills in leadership, organizational management, strategy, planning &
execution across multiple industries and academic research prowess.
His core experience goes deeper into how companies that are evolving their strategies can integrate enabling technologies like AI/ML, cloud, and advanced digital integrated connectivity into key areas of their operations to achieve efficiency and a personalized
customer experience. Jay started his career as a computer engineer at Fermi National Accelerator Lab in Chicago, Illinois - America's
largest particle physics accelerator and nuclear facility.
Jay has given keynote speeches and participated as lead panelist across multiple global events such Mobile World Congress, Gitex, Telecom Summit. He is also a member of several professional business organizations and speaks fluently three languages.
Jay’s education profile includes his ongoing Executive Ph.D. in Management and Strategy at Bayes Business School, City University of London, an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago, a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
