Bayes Evening Executive MBA Class of 2025

In September we welcomed the latest cohort of the Evening Executive MBA to Bayes.

This September we welcomed the latest cohort of the Evening Executive MBA to Bayes. Now that hybrid working has become the norm for many professionals in London, the Finsbury Square location of our MBA teaching centre enables many of our students to attend classes a stone’s throw from their workplace.

Reflecting London’s status as one of the most cosmopolitan cities on the planet, the group consists of 8 different nationalities who have worked all over the world in a wide variety of roles.

Every year we work very hard to build a diverse group of students, in terms of gender, nationality, industry and role, that can bring their experiences to bear in the extensive group work involved on the EMBA. This year is no exception, as we welcome a highly diverse group of senior executives from a wide variety of organisations including Amazon, HCA Healthcare, HSBC, Zurich Insurance, The NHS, Gap Inc., Green Energy and Uber to name a few.

We are always keen to welcome strong EMBA applications from women and are very proud of the work our Women’s Leadership Programme does at Bayes. This year a third of the group are female.

Industries represented on the Evening EMBA Class of 2025 include

  • Finance
  • Engineering/Manufacturing
  • Legal
  • Pharma/Health
  • Professional Services
  • Energy
  • Hospitality
  • IT/Telecoms
  • Real Estate

We are proud to introduce a diverse group of professionals including a solicitor and master mariner, a geologist, an accountant, a publican, a co-founder and CEO of a youth insight and multicultural communications agency, a member of the NHS Health Inequalities Advisory Board, a FA Qualified Level 1 football coach, and an owner of a dental practice.

The students have varied interests and include a drummer and a bagpipe player, an amateur radio show host, an editor in chief for a travel magazine, a long-distance triathlete, a former snowboarding instructor and a classic car restorer alongside keen runners, amateur cooks, and a cyclist who once rode over 15,000km through 32 European countries.

Milly Aliaga What attracted you to Bayes and the EMBA?

As I prepared for my move from the US to London, I knew I was ready to embark on the EMBA and it was important for me to do it with the right university. From the start, the Bayes faculty and professors were incredibly welcoming, warm, helpful and really felt like a community aligned with my values and priorities.

This coupled with the holistic curriculum, global mindset and diverse network, I knew this was the right fit to challenge and inspire me to grow both professionally and personally.

What do you hope to gain from the EMBA?

To be in a class bi-weekly, learning from industry professionals and faculty with vast experience, leveraging real business cases in front of an incredibly diverse cohort...there's too much to pick from but all of this together I know will materialize into more than I can imagine gaining from the EMBA.

What aspects of the EMBA are you most looking forward to?

New friends, networking opportunities, international consultancy week and what the future has in store with this new venture!

Robert Grafen-Greaney What attracted you to Bayes and the EMBA?

The first thing that attracted me to Bayes was the reputation and quality of the institution, its staff and the course. The course itself has a lot that interests me, with an excellent selection of modules both compulsory and elective that I am looking forward to getting stuck into and then applying.

The balance between in person learning on campus with my fellow cohort and life in general looked to be ideal and indeed is proving to be so!

Finally, logistically, with work just around the corner and not so far from home either, Bayes was a perfect fit.

What do you hope to gain from the EMBA?

My main aim in studying for the MBA is to develop and enhance my knowledge and skills to be ready to fully explore, analyse and capitalise on potential opportunities now and in the future, whatever they may be!

What aspects of the EMBA are you most looking forward to?

I'm excited about the challenge, learning and definitely looking forward to being able to apply what I learn as I go along. Networking with my cohort and alumni should be great fun too and the international week looks like it will be interesting seeing as it is going to take me back to East Africa where I worked for a long time!

Bayes’ sterling reputation was initially what attracted me but my decision to pursue an EMBA was solidified after attending their ‘MBA in a day’ event. I was captivated by the exceptional quality of resources, the expertise of their professors, and the school's strong commitment to fostering innovation and leadership in the business world. As a plus, the evening programme offered by Bayes aligns seamlessly with my demanding job in the city, making it more convenient for me to balance work and studies.
