From Thailand to London, London to Milan!

Hello! I’m Warundhorn Suwannatee from Thailand, currently studying MSc Marketing Strategy and Innovation at Bayes Business School. I decided to pursue this course because it offers a well-rounded mix of theoretical and practical modules that align perfectly with my future career aspirations.

Studying in Milan

As part of our master’s programme we are able to tailor the modules to our interests in the final term through elective modules, some of which are taught abroad. One of the exciting international electives available to MSc Marketing Strategy and Innovation students is the Corporate Open Innovation module in the vibrant city of Milan, Italy. The topics mainly focus on the open innovation, accelerator classification, corporate venturing, and technology acquisition. This module also explores how large business achieve innovation through collaboration with firms, crowdsourcing, and venturing.

During this elective, I had the opportunity to make new friends from other master’s degrees and discuss the case studies from the PwC Guest lecture during the class. The real-world examples expanded my understanding of open innovation’s potential to big firms.

My favourite memory from Milan is when I visited the Duomo cathedral and enjoyed Italian food with colleagues!

While I had visited Milan around five years ago and wasn’t particularly fond of it at the time, this trip completely changed my perspective. Fully immersing myself in the city, I had the chance to fully explore the town and taste the authentic Italian cuisines.

My master's experience

Studying at Bayes has been an incredible experience overall. I really enjoyed studying at Bayes with fascinating modules to aid my marketing career pathways.

The campus location in a business district is convenient for students to commute and travel around!

I have ambitious plans for my marketing career. I plan to work in the  marketing field for a management trainee program. My ultimate goal is to work for international FMCG company, contributing to its success and helping it achieve its strategic objectives. I feel my experience at Bayes so far has definitely prepared me well for this.
