Bayes ranks 22nd globally and top 20 in Europe in Financial Times MSc in Finance Ranking 2023

Business School maintains 5th in the UK position for MSc in Finance programme

The Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) MSc in Finance programme has been ranked 22nd in the world in the Financial Times MSc in Finance Ranking 2023.

The School has maintained its position from last year, and it also ranked 5th in the UK and 3rd in London, reflecting its strong reputation for postgraduate education.

The annual pre-experience ranking, which compares postgraduate finance programmes from global business schools, also sees Bayes ranked in the top 20 in Europe.

In particular, the School scored highly for its alumni network, coming 1st in London for alumni career progress, 2nd in the UK for alumni network and 3rd in the UK for alumni salary percentage increase. The ranking result also reflects the School’s strength in diversity metrics, extensive alumni network, international mobility, careers service and alumni career progress.

The FT updated their methodology this year to include metrics on the value of the alumni network and carbon emissions.

Professor André Spicer, Dean of Bayes Business School, said:

“This is a very pleasing result and a glowing endorsement of the postgraduate experience here at Bayes on the world stage.

“Our success in terms of alumni progression underlines the value of our MSc in Finance for recruiters, while student satisfaction ratings are a testament to the unique opportunities and support our students receive.”

Dr Simone Krummaker, Associate Dean for MSc Programmes at Bayes, said:

“This positive ranking demonstrates the expert faculty and teaching on offer at Bayes, as well as the opportunities postgraduate students have to take learning beyond the classroom.

“Elective modules encourage students to tailor the course towards their own career preferences, allowing them to pursue areas and industries of particular interest through projects and high-profile guest speaker visits.

“The School’s position in the heart of London’s financial district also provides unrivalled access to the business world, as well as on-the-doorstep networking opportunities with the world’s largest employers – many of whom are seeking key skills and experience that the Bayes MSc in Finance provides.”
