Bayes’ Full-time MBA climbs three places globally in entrepreneurship rankings

The annual ranking by Poets & Quants draws on data provided by global business schools for 16 metrics

Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) has risen three places, to 13th globally, in rankings measuring the entrepreneurial component of Full-time MBAs.

The annual ranking by Poets & Quants draws on data provided by global business schools for 16 metrics. The indicators include the resources available to students pursuing a start-up, the proportion of the curriculum dedicated to entrepreneurship content and the number of recent graduates involved in start-ups, private equity or venture capital firms. Bayes scored particularly strongly in the latter two indicators.

Students with businesses which have already generated revenue can apply for development funding from a £10m Entrepreneurship Fund and receive board-level support for developing their business or launching a start-up.

Professor Costas Andriopoulos, Associate Dean, MBA Programmes at Bayes, said: “Many people embarking on an MBA are driven by the entrepreneurial spirit which ultimately underpins so much business development and progress in wider society. We’re delighted that our Full-time MBA is equipping our participants with the skills, support and confidence to innovate and drive future growth in the countries and sectors they choose to work in.”

Bayes’ Full-time MBA courses are delivered by faculty who are producing the latest academic research and who have industry experience – including as policy makers, entrepreneurs and business practitioners.

However, the Bayes MBA also provides plenty of opportunity for hands-on learning, not least by capitalising on its location in the City of London. For example, during integration weeks students apply their learning to resolve complex problems in a business, country or sector to resolve complex problems.

Aurore Hochard, Head of Entrepreneurship programmes at Bayes, said: “It’s tremendous that the school’s commitment to growing and supporting tomorrow’s wealth creators has again been recognised. That spirit and support is reflected across our courses and programmes – whether it’s the Full-time course recognised in these rankings or a fast-track module that allows business people to accelerate their development.”

The regular EntrepreneursTalk@Bayes events that the school organises, are another way of linking students with local and global entrepreneurs, Aurore said. Unfortunately, the November event is already full but keep an eye on the School’s online events calendar for future dates.
