How to apply

First, please check that you meet the entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate course.

You can do this either by accessing the entry requirement information on the individual course page of interest, or by visiting the ‘international entry requirements’ section at the bottom of this page.

All applications need to be submitted via UCAS. Bayes Business School is part of City, University of London, so our UCAS code is C60. Our Admissions Team will receive an electronic copy of your application and will assess your academic record, personal statement and other achievements.

On average, Bayes receives over 7,000 applications for approximately 1200 places. All applications are reviewed very carefully to select the students most likely to do well at Bayes. We do not hold interviews with candidates and make our decisions based on the information provided in your UCAS application.

Entry for September 2024

The UCAS application deadline for all applicants is 31 January 2024. Applications can still be submitted after this date through UCAS up until 30 June 2024 and will be considered subject to the availability of places. UCAS full dates and deadlines.

Things you should know

If you are studying General Studies or Critical Thinking at A-level, these subjects will not be included in any offer condition.

We accept all foreign language A Level subjects, and such subjects are considered for entry even if it is the applicant’s native language. Subject requirements for the course of interest must still be met- please ensure that you have checked the entry requirements section on the individual course page of interest.

  • We do not accept credit transfers and only consider applications for first year entry
  • We welcome applications from candidates who have elected to re-sit their academic qualifications (such as A Levels), and such candidates are not competitively disadvantaged in any way
  • We do not use UCAS tariff points when assessing an application. Our entry requirements are based primarily upon specific qualification, subject, and grade requirements and offer conditions will reflect this
  • We recognise that the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) may prove beneficial in helping applicants develop skills relevant for undergraduate study. We will not however include the EPQ as an offer condition or accept it in place of an A Level (or equivalent) subject
  • We understand the value of work experience in developing key skills. While work experience may be relevant to highlight in your personal statement to demonstrate an interest in the course and/or showcase transferrable skills to undergraduate study, work experience is not a requirement to apply to Bayes, nor do we consider work experience in place of our standard entry requirements
  • You are welcome to apply to more than one City or Bayes course. We also recognise that applicants may apply to different courses and subsequently struggle to write a personal statement relevant to all of their course choices. We are happy to accept an additional personal statement relevant to the Bayes course to which you have applied. You can provide this to us as a PDF document emailed to us on bayesug@city.ac.uk. Please include your UCAS Personal ID number in your email so that we can attach the statement to your application
  • If you wish to know the status of your application please check your UCAS Hub account before contacting the Admissions team
  • If you applied by the 31 January deadline you should receive a decision by 12 April at the latest. We will contact you if this is not going to be possible
  • If we require any further information about your application then we will contact you by email
  • If you have been asked to provide evidence of obtained qualifications as part of a conditional offer, please scan and send the certificate to bayesug@city.ac.uk. Please include your UCAS Personal ID number and full name in your email.

Mitigating Circumstances

Bayes Business School appreciates that you may be subject to unexpected circumstances outside of your control, which can include ill health, bereavement, or adverse domestic situations. Whilst we sympathise with any applicant undergoing a difficult period, the undergraduate admissions team do not take this into account when reviewing your application or upon receipt of your examination results. In the event that you experience any mitigating circumstances, either before or during the examination period, we would advise you to submit evidence of these to the relevant examination board through your school or college.
