Academic experts teaching on Bayes Executive Education
Dr. Danielle Lyssimachou
Danielle is an Associate Professor in Accounting (equivalent to Reader) and Course Director of the BSc Accounting and Finance degree at Bayes Business School. Danielle holds a PhD in Accounting & Finance from Manchester Business School, an MSc in Industrial and Financial Economics from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Marketing from Greece and Ireland. Prior to joining academia she worked as a management accountant in the healthcare sector.
Danielle has extensive experience teaching accounting & finance courses at undergraduate, MSc, MBA and Executive Education level in the UK, the US, the Channel Islands, the UAE, France, Azerbaijan and Indonesia. Known for her passion for teaching, she has received numerous recognitions and awards for her commitment to teaching excellence, including Student Voice Awards for Best Teaching and for Overall Achievement by City, University of London.
Stefano de Cesaris
Stefano is a senior lecturer in the accounting group of the finance faculty at Bayes Business School. His areas of expertise are financial statement analysis, corporate valuation, M&A and LBO analysis and corporate financial forecasting. Prior to joining Bayes, he worked at Goldman Sachs in London, first in the Advisory Group and then in the Global Investment Research Division. In 2005, he joined AMT Training, a leading provider of financial training for investment banks globally. Stefano has over 10 years of experience teaching accounting and finance to professional and student audiences worldwide.
Dr Marco Jean Aboav
Dr Aboav is the Global Macro Portfolio Manager at Numen Capital, an absolute return investment management firm driven by deep fundamental research and cutting edge technology. He is also Associate Professor in Financial Technology at Bayes Business School. He was previously Head of Asset Allocation at Money Farm, a disruptive digital wealth management firm founded in 2011 in Milan, now a pan-European company with London offices.
Dr Aboav founded his trading consulting firm advising proprietary and market-making desks after completing his PhD in 2011 at Politecnico di Milano in Industrial Engineering, with a thesis on multi-asset trading systems and asset allocation. He spent part of his PhD at the Centre for Econometric Analysis at Bayes, where he now teaches extensively on the school’s executive development programmes.
Professor Andrew Clare
Andrew Clare is the Professor of Asset Management at Bayes and the Associate Dean responsible for Corporate Engagement. He was a Senior Research Manager in the Monetary Analysis wing of the Bank of England which supported the work of the Monetary Policy Committee. He is the coauthor of ‘The Trustee Guide to Investment’ and has published extensively in both academic and practitioner journals on a wide range of economic and financial market issues.
Professor Clare serves on the investment committee of the GEC Marconi pension plan, which oversees the investment strategy of this £5.0bn scheme and is a trustee and Chairman of the Investment Committee of the £2.5bn Magnox Electric Group Pension scheme. Read more about Professor Andrew Clare.
