Academic experts teaching on Bayes Executive Education
Dr. Danielle Lyssimachou
Danielle is an Associate Professor in Accounting (equivalent to Reader) and Course Director of the BSc Accounting and Finance degree at Bayes Business School. Danielle holds a PhD in Accounting & Finance from Manchester Business School, an MSc in Industrial and Financial Economics from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Marketing from Greece and Ireland. Prior to joining academia she worked as a management accountant in the healthcare sector.
Danielle has extensive experience teaching accounting & finance courses at undergraduate, MSc, MBA and Executive Education level in the UK, the US, the Channel Islands, the UAE, France, Azerbaijan and Indonesia. Known for her passion for teaching, she has received numerous recognitions and awards for her commitment to teaching excellence, including Student Voice Awards for Best Teaching and for Overall Achievement by City, University of London.
Dr Pawel Bilinski
Professor Pawel Bilinski is the Director of the Centre for Financial Analysis and Reporting Research. He was also the Course Director of the MSc in Corporate Finance and of the BSC Accounting and Finance at Bayes Business School. In 2023, he was elected to the Board of the European Accounting Association as the National Representative for the United Kingdom (term 2023-2026). Before joining the Accounting Group at Bayes Business School, he held posts at Manchester Business School and at Lancaster University Management School.
Pawel has experience teaching accounting (financial and managerial accounting) and finance courses at Executive, MBA, MSc, and undergraduate level in the UK, Hong Kong, Dubai, Shanghai and the Channel Islands and Saudi Arabia.
Dr Ivana Raonic
Ivana joined Bayes in 2004. She received her Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wales. Before joining Bayes, she has previously worked at the University of Siena and, before that, for PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Her research interests include international accounting, empirical financial accounting research, corporate governance and financial disclosure. Ivana has published in some major journals such as the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Abacus and European Accounting Review. Her teaching experience includes Financial Statement Reporting and Analysis, Equity Investments and Valuation, Security Analysis.
