About
Overview
Dr. Daniela Cristian is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Marketing at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass). Before joining Bayes, Daniela completed her PhD in Business and Economics with a specialisation in Marketing at BI Norwegian Business School.
Daniela is doing experimental research in consumer behaviour. Her research focuses on prosocial and unethical behaviour, consumer well-being, and consumer decision-making. In one research stream, Daniela examines the aftermath of hedonic consumption with a particular focus on its positive consequences. A primary research objective is to explore whether hedonic experiences motivate altruistic behaviours. In another research stream, she aims to uncover why despite increasing privacy concerns consumers engage in self-disclosure.
Daniela has presented her research at leading marketing conferences (Association for Consumer Research, Society for Consumer Psychology, INFORMS Society for Marketing Science). She has received a graduate travel award from the Association of Consumer Research and has been a fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Summer Institute on Bounded Rationality.
Daniela is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has been previously involved in teaching and developing curriculum for a variety of courses, including Brand Management, Marketing Strategy, and Pricing Strategies. At Bayes, Daniela teaches "Principles of Marketing" and "Strategic Marketing" in the Executive MBA program and "Strategic Marketing" in the MSc Marketing Strategy and Innovation program.
