Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy
What we do
At the Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy at Bayes Business School, we continue to build on the pioneering research on philanthropy, its institutions, measurement, trends and outcomes undertaken in the ESRC Research Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy, led at Bayes, 2008-2014.
Our work is undertaken by Professors Jenny Harrow and Cathy Pharoah, in conjunction with CGAP research associates, visiting fellows and collaborators, including Professor Diana Leat, Visiting Professor, Bayes, Dr Yunus Sola, Director of the Academy of Philanthropy of the World Congress of Muslim Philanthropists, Dr Catherine Walker, Director, The Researchery, and Jon Fitzmaurice, Director, Self-Help Housing, Senior Visiting Fellow at Bayes.
Externally, we are close collaborators with the Centre for the Study of Philanthropy and the Public Good, School of Management, University of St. Andrews, whose founding director, Professor Tobias Jung was formerly CGAP’s Senior Research Fellow.
