Centre for Asset Management Research

What we do

The Centre for Asset Management Research is a forum for the discussion of the challenges facing the asset management industry. Our Centre benefits from the depth of academic expertise in asset management at Bayes Business School and also from its proximity to the City, the heart of the asset management industry.

Our activities

  • The pursuit and conduct of pioneering research on industry-relevant issues;
  • The hosting of conferences, workshops and breakfast meetings to serve as a forum for discussion for the Asset Management Research Centre's academic members and industry participants;
  • The provision of specialist consulting services to the asset management industry;
  • The development and delivery of industry-informed education programmes for the asset management industry.

Events to date

We have held a number of well-attended international conferences on asset management on various topics. The theme of our latest conference was "asset allocation in uncertain times". Past speakers include the Chief Economist of the OECD, the Chief Investment Officer of Schroeders, the President of the American Finance Association and the heads of asset allocation at both Aon Hewitt and Aviva Investors.

Due to the strength and depth of our faculty in this area, we are able to deliver courses across all aspects of asset management. For over 15 years we have offered an MSc in Investment Management. Our programme is founded on three principles: academic rigor, relevant knowledge and an international orientation.
