Marian Han“The programme's emphasis on gender-balanced leadership resonated strongly with my own values and aspirations.

As an Executive Board member, I've had the opportunity to be part of strategic decision-making processes, learning from the experiences of other board members and honing my own leadership skills.

The network of professional women has not only provided mentoring and support but also has opened doors to diverse professional opportunities.”

“The GWLP is such an impressive part of the university and very much needed for the women who participate.

“Being part of a diverse community is one of the benefits that I have experienced as a member of the GWLP.

Through the peer mentoring programme, I have been able to connect with other GWLP members in London and broaden my perspective.”

GWLP Scholars

Since 2017, the Global Women’s Leadership Programme has awarded over 35 scholarships to women on MBA, MSc and Undergraduates courses. The scholars’ areas of expertise range from law, finance, banking and technology to media and the arts. But they are all linked by their strong academic achievements and their passion to support women’s leadership.

Community

The Bayes Global Women’s Leadership Programme creates a community for scholars - by joining the GWLP Executive Board they help steer the programme and create opportunities to support women’s leadership at Bayes and beyond. Alumni (scholars and others) also join the Board, to give back to the Bayes community and share their expertise.

Impact

Scholars have the opportunity to develop and lead projects, as well as formulate and moderate events and workshops and make a valued contribution to life at Bayes. Our Peer Mentoring Project set up initially by GWLP Scholar Diana Squires, has offered an important support network to over 100 Bayes women over the past three years. And in 2021 GWLP Scholar Clarice Metzger set up a new business group at Bayes - Black in Business Group.
